A former Purdue and NFL tight end, Justin Sinz begins his first season as tight ends coach after spending the 2023 season working with Purdue's offensive line.
Sinz has been has been on the Purdue staff for nine seasons, six as offensive quality control/analyst and three as a graduate assistant.
Sinz also held assistant recruiting coordinator titles in 2021 and 2022, helping the Boilermakers win nine games in 2021 and capture the first Big Ten West crown in school history during the 2022 campaign. The Purdue offense ranked second in the Big Ten in passing both seasons, including fifth nationally in 2021 with 355.4 passing yards per game.
Sinz was a four-year letterwinner with the Boilermakers from 2011-14. Appearing in 50 games at tight end with 20 starts, he finished his career with 80 receptions for 670 yards and seven touchdowns. He was voted a captain by his teammates as a senior. He paced Purdue with 41 receptions in 2013 and ended his collegiate career with at least one catch in 24 consecutive games.
A native of Edgar, Wisconsin, Sinz earned a bachelor's degree in selling and sales management from Purdue in 2014, and also a master’s degree in sports management from Purdue University in 2016. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts in the spring of 2015.
Sinz and his wife, Connie, have three daughters: Jora, Cami and Jaell.
