· Hit safely in every game of the season-opening weekend in Atlanta as well as the East Tennessee State and Ohio State series
· Had a rare two-run sacrifice fly as a part of a three-RBI game in the win at ETSU
· Doubled and drove in a pair of runs in the series finale at Indiana
· Delivered a run-two single in the first inning of the midweek game with IPFW in Kokomo
· Had two-hit games Georgia State, Ohio, Northwestern and Cal State Northridge
· Hit safely in 10 of the first 12 games of the season, including six in a row to begin March

HIGH SCHOOL
· Four-year letterwinner for coach Eric Mattingly at Brownsburg High School in suburban Indianapolis
· Batted over .500 all four years to finish his prep career with a .532 average, 11 home runs and 31 extra-base hits total
· Two-time team MVP and offensive player of the year as an upperclassman
· Also excelled on the mound as a senior, recording 32 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched
· Batted .525 as a senior, .537 as a junior and .500 as a sophomore
· Dominated junior varsity as a freshman, batting .586 with 20 extra-base hits and the plate and striking out 78 in 30 innings on the mound while throwing two no-hitters
