· Was Purdue's top pitcher after the start of Big Ten play, working a team-high 63 innings with a 2.43 ERA and .224 average against in his 10 appearances from March 25 to May 19
· Threw a complete game two-hitter vs. Illinois, retiring 27 of 29 batters faced, to win Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors
· Purdue's first pitcher to be an All-Big Ten honoree since 2012
· Delivered a much-needed quality start in the game two win at Ohio State, retiring 13 of the first 14 batters and working 7 2/3 innings of one-run ball
· Became Purdue's first left-hander to start on the mound since Jordan Minch made the last of his 25 career starts in May 2014
· Was still on the mound to start the eighth inning in wins vs. Ohio State and Northwestern, surrendering just one run in both starts
· Also gave up just one run in strong outings at Little Rock (6 IP) and Iowa (5 2/3)
· Worked six innings of three-run ball in series-clinching win vs. Indiana
· Limited Maryland to four hits and two runs over 5 1/3 innings at the Big Ten Tournament

· His high school did not sponsor baseball so he ran track in the spring while also playing football and basketball at Gibbon High School in south central Nebraska
