McHugh played in 17 games, starting five times... started all three games of the Penn State series at third base... also started the Louisville game at third base, the opener of the Michigan series at first base and the middle game of the Southern Illinois series at designated hitter... pitched in games at Tennessee and San Diego State... despite going just 3-for-34 for the season, only struck out in three of his 37 plate appearances... first collegiate hit was a pinch-hit single in the finale of the Illinois series... led off the 11th inning of the series-opening at Michigan State with a base hit... walked twice against Louisville... walked and scored a run in the nightcap of the Penn State doubleheader... had a base hit and played all 12 innings in the series opener with Michigan.
