Academic All-Big Ten... DeAno pitched in 10 games, all in relief... earned the win in his Purdue debut, working three innings of hit relief in the comeback victory versus Southern Miss... that marked his first pitching appearance in game action since high school... also earned the win in the opener of the Wichita State series, pitching 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief... worked two scoreless innings of relief in the finale of the Murray State series... surrendered only one extra-base hit in 15 2/3 innings... was the first man out of the bullpen in the loss to Kent State at the NCAA Regionals... was tough on opposing batters with runners on (.211) and two outs (.211)... pitched in Big Ten games against Ohio State, Penn State and Iowa... surrendered only one earned run while limiting opposing hitters to a .184 in 10 1/3 innings pitched over four appearances in March... retired the leadoff man to open the ninth inning in the one-run win at Illinois State. 2011 Season
