2013 Season
Krieg played in 47 games and started 42 times... made 35 starts at second base and seven at shortstop... started each of the first 16 games of the season at second base... also started all three games of the Big Ten series against Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State and Michigan... connected for home runs against Samford, Southern Illinois and Michigan... hit safely in all three games of the Samford (4-for-13) and Michigan (3-for-8, 4 walks) series... contributed to a team-high 32 double plays (of 47) turned by the Boilers... committed only one error after March 12, recording a .993 fielding percentage in the final 37 games of the season... reached base safely in 10 consecutive games in March... batted .297 (11-for-37) with eight walks in Big Ten road games... started the season strong, batting .321 (9-for-28) with three sacrifice bunts and three stolen bases in February... finished the five-game series against Samford 8-for-22 with three extra-base hits thanks in part to a four-hit game in the Feb. 22 neutral-site win at Mississippi State's tournament... bounced back from a rough stretch in March by batting .265 in April while not committing an error defensively in 43 chances... finished the season strong, batting .281 (9-for-32) with four extra-base hits in May... delivered a two-run double en route to a 2-for-3 day in the season-opening win against Connecticut... posted three consecutive two-hit games late in the season to ignite a nine-game stretch in which he batted .367 with four-extra base hits, six walks and seven RBI... walked and scored in each of Purdue's big innings in the comeback win at Michigan.

2012 Season
Krieg played in 12 games and started twice, neutral-site wins against Anderson at Victory Field in Downtown Indianapolis and Valparaiso at the NCAA Regionals... singled and scored in the Anderson win... had a sacrifice bunt and a run scored in the Valpo victory... was also on the field at second base for the bottom of the ninth inning of the Big Ten Tournament championship game win against Indiana... did not commit an error in his 14 defensive chances... stole a base as a pinch runner in the midweek win against Indiana State, the final game in the history of Lambert Field... saw action in Big Ten games against Nebraska, Michigan State and Iowa... pinch ran and ended up batting twice as the designated hitter in the 14-inning win against MSU.

High School
Krieg was a four-year letter-winner at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis... Honorable Mention All-State performer as a senior while batting .495 with 14 extra-base hits... also selected to the Indianapolis Area Super Team and garnered all-county honors as a senior... two-time all-conference honoree as an upperclassman batted .360 with 13 extra-base hits while being a perfect 18-for-18 stealing bases as a junior... helped lead Lawrence North to three consecutive county title games and a pair of Conference Indiana championships... also played basketball and football as an underclassman.
