2013 Season
Schreiber pitched in 19 games and started nine times... started the opening game of the first six weekends of the season as well as the finales of the Penn State, Northwestern and Illinois series... was the starting pitcher in the first ever game at Alexander Field (March 22 vs. Ohio State)... struck out three of the four batters he faced to earn the save in the middle game of the Southern Illinois series, his first save since 2010... worked six innings of one-run ball, striking out seven, to earn the win in the series opener at Evansville... also gave Purdue a quality start (6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 K) in the win against Samford at Mississippi State's tournament... struck out a career-high nine in his start at Penn State, fanning nine of the 24 batters he faced... worked four innings of two-hit ball, surrendering just one earned run, in the season opener against Connecticut in his first outing since April 2011... after control was an issue during the first half of the season, did not issue a walk in any of his last six outings of the year... made two appearances out of the bullpen in Big Ten series against Nebraska, Michigan and Iowa... continues to rank second in program history in strikeouts per nine innings (8.877).

Schreiber made eight starts on the mound before suffering a season-ending elbow injury during his start at Penn State... also started four games at designated hitter early in the season before opting to concentrate on pitching fulltime... honored with the team's Mr. Boilermaker Award for his positive attitude... worked at least five innings and did not give up more than four runs in all of his eight starts... was leading the Big Ten in batting average against (.209) and strikeouts (50) when he went down for the year... earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors for his six innings of three-hit ball, striking out seven, in the home win against Bradley... Schreiber started 18 games and made 17 appearances as a pitcher ... started 17 games at designated hitter and game one of the Eastern Kentucky series on the mound ... registered two wins and two saves on the mound, all in the second half of the season ... posted a 2.61 ERA and .262 batting average against over six relief appearances in Big Ten play ... went 5-for-10 as a pinch hitter, leading the team in hits ... compiled a 2.61 ERA and .238 batting average against in his six relief appearances at home ... hit all four of his home runs and 11 of his 15 RBIs in true road games ... gave up only three hits and one run in 7 2/3 innings over five appearances in midweek action ... batted .306 with five extra-base hits in March ... was one of the top relievers in April, compiling a 2.45 ERA and .190 batting average against in 11 innings over seven appearances... made six relief appearances in May, posting a 1.86 ERA and issuing only one walk in 9 2/3 innings ...
