2013 Season
Academic All-Big Ten... Cianfrocco played in 32 games, making 26 starts as a position player and pitching in relief five times... did not make his collegiate debut on the mound until May 1 but was the first reliever used out of the bullpen in the Big Ten Tournament... earned his first collegiate win with an inning and two-thirds of shutout relief in the series opener against Iowa... garnered Big Ten Player of the Week honors for a monster series at Morehead State that saw him record multiple hits in all four games and hit for the cycle over the course of the weekend... was not charged with an error in 58 defensive chances while seeing action in right field and first base as well as pitcher... started games at designated hitter (15), first base (6) and right field (5)... missed about a month of the season with a shoulder injury suffered in the opener of the spring break trip... reached base safely 45 percent of the time when leading off an inning... batted .296 with runners in scoring position... with a runner on third and less than two outs, plated that runner in six of his seven opportunities... left-handed batters were 1-for-13 against him... posted a seven-game hitting streak early in the season and later reached base safely in 11 consecutive games in the middle of the campaign... batted .481 (13-for-27) with five extra-base hits and a team-high 11 runs scored in February... went 9-for-21 with four-extra base hits and three walks during the early-season eight-game win streak... after returning from injury, went 7-for-21 with four RBIs and four runs scored during the nine-game road stretch in April... batted .412 with eight extra-base hits in true road games...

Michigan (April 8-10): returned to the lineup in the series opener; doubled, walked and scored in the finale of the weekend set... at Penn State (April 15-17): started the first two games of the series, going 2-for-4 with an RBI in the series-opening win... at Illinois-Chicago (April 20): hit safely and scored a run in each of his first three at-bats of the midweek win, driving in a pair of runs... Indiana (April 30-May 1): singled twice, walked and scored a run in the game two win and made his mound debut in the series finale, working an inning of relief... at Michigan State (May 6-8): drew three free passes and drove in a run with a sac fly in the series opener; singled, scored a run and worked a season-high 2 2/3 innings of one-run relief in the middle game... Ball State (May 11): started at first base, marking his first action defensively since his shoulder injury...
