Big Ten Sportsmanship Award... Ramer pitched in 15 games, making 13 starts... started a game in each of the eight Big Ten series, including four series openers... Red Mackey Award for excellence by a senior... finished his career with a 16-6 record, 202 2/3 innings pitched and a 3.42 strikeout-to-walk ratio... after issuing only 33 walks in his 202 2/3 career innings, his 1.465 fewest walks per nine ratio was the best in program history... induced a team-high 15 ground ball double plays... closed his career with a heroic performance against Iowa the final weekend of the season, throwing nearly 150 pitches over 10 2/3 innings of two-run ball... it was the second-longest outing in program history, just one out shy of Jason Smith's 1991 record (11-inning complete game)... with Iowa pitcher Matt Dermody working 9 2/3 innings in that same game, the two seniors were the main reason why the game was one of only four around the country in which both starters were still on the mound in the 10th inning... began the season with a complete-game victory against Connecticut... also earned wins against Cincinnati and Southern Illinois... closed out game two of the Evansville series with two scoreless innings for his first save since 2010... along with the Iowa game, also gave Purdue a good chance to win in his starts against Ohio State (8 IP, 3 R, 0 BB), Penn State (7 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 3 K) and Michigan (6 IP, 3 ER, 3 K)... his eight strikeouts against Iowa were one shy of a career high... struck out seven while finishing one out shy of a complete-game victory at Cincinnati... fanned six in starts against UConn and Michigan State... did not issue a walk in four of his starts... also finished his career ranked among the Purdue all-time leaders in wins, winning percentage, strikeout-to-walk ratio and WHIP (1.31).
2012 Season
Academic All-Big Ten... Ramer pitched in 12 games, making 10 starts... set new Purdue single-season records for fewest walks per nine innings and strikeout-to-walk ratio (minimum 30 innings)... issued only two walks in 50 1/3 innings pitched, walking a batter in only two of his 12 appearances... honored as the team's Clyde Lyle Award winner (top non-scholarship performer)... served as the team's primary midweek starter before finishing the season as part of the weekend rotation... started the Big Ten Tournament championship game win against Indiana and the NCAA Regional game against Kentucky... struck out nine and did not issue a walk in eight innings of one-run ball versus IPFW, helping Purdue avoid a bad home loss on a slow day for the offense in midweek action... he has been the starting pitcher 10 times during Purdue's 17-game midweek win streak entering the 2013 campaign... the Boilermakers were 9-1 in his 10 starts in 2012 and 17-2 during his career... came one out shy of earning a win in the opener of the Wichita State series, giving up three runs on four hits in his first start of the season... kept Indiana off the scoreboard until the fifth inning of the Big Ten Tournament championship game... worked three perfect innings in his start against Anderson at Victory Field in Downtown Indianapolis... did not surrender an earned run over five innings in starts against Illinois State and Indiana State... went 4-0 with a 1.12 ERA and .203 batting average against over 16 innings in the month of April.
2011 Season
Academic All-Big Ten... Ramer pitched in 13 games, making six starts... won all five of his decisions, establishing a new Purdue single-season record for winning percentage with at least five decisions... did not give up more than three earned runs in any of his starts... started the opener of the Tennessee Tech and Bradley series, finale of the Indiana series and midweek wins against Ball State (twice) and Illinois-Chicago (road)... worked five innings of one-run relief, giving up only two hits, earning the win after having to replace an injured Matt Morgan early in the spring break opener at Tennessee-Martin... followed up that performance with five innings of quality work in series openers against Tennessee Tech and Bradley... earned his other victories against Tech, Butler, Illinois-Chicago and Ball State (home)... pitched in Big Ten series against Minnesota, Penn State, Indiana and Illinois... made 10 of his 14 appearances in true road games, registering a .265 batting average against and 28 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings... issued only one walk over 16 2/3 innings while pitching in four midweek games... worked three innings of hitless relief in his season debut, game two of the Morehead State series... struck out five in his five innings of relief to lead the way in the series-opening win at Tennessee-Martin... also pitched five innings in his first collegiate weekend start, earning the win in the opener of the Tennessee Tech series... kept Purdue in the game by limiting Bradley to three earned over five innings in Peoria... struck out a career-high six and did not issue a walk in his longest relief outing ( 5 2/3 IP) of the year in the victory at Butler, coming up just one out shy of finishing the game... a week later, worked a season-high six innings again without issuing a walk, although did not factor in the decision in the comeback win at Ball State... won his midweek starts against UIC and Ball State after working his scheduled innings and leaving with Purdue holding the lead... pitched well in the middle game of the Illinois series, working three innings of one-run relief, striking out three and not issuing a walk... Purdue Single-Season Rankings: first in winning percentage.
2010 Season
Academic All-Big Ten ... Ramer pitched in 10 games and started three times ... started the midweek wins against Wabash, at IPFW and Butler, pitching a combined 11 shutout innings in those outings ... posted a team-best 0.66 ERA and .184 batting average against over 13 2/3 innings pitched in midweek play ... issued only one walk over his final seven appearances and 17 1/3 innings of the season ... earned the win against Wabash with four innings of one-hit ball ... worked five innings of two-hit ball at IPFW, earning another victory ... earned a save in the middle game of the Chicago State series with three innings of one-hit relief ... pitched the first two innings of the midweek finale against Butler ... made brief relief appearances in Big Ten games against Minnesota and Iowa.
2009 Season
Did not see action ... sat out the season as a transfer from UC Riverside.
