2012 Season
Sudbury pitched in seven games, primarily as a lefty specialist... got a big out in the ninth inning of the one-run win at Illinois State... recorded a strikeout versus Notre Dame[apos]s No. 3 hitter in the eighth inning of the Purdue win... struck out a pair in a scoreless inning at Ball State... also appeared in wins against Western Carolina and Illinois-Chicago as well as the game two loss at Iowa.
2011 Season
Sudbury pitched in 13 games, all in relief... pitched at least three innings of relief in his outings against Illinois-Chicago (twice), Northwestern, Iowa and Michigan State at the Big Ten Tournament... earned saves in wins against UIC (twice) and Iowa... allowed only three of nine inherited base runners to score... induced four ground ball double plays in 24 1/3 innings... limited left-handed hitters to a .206 batting average against... was effective against Michigan State[apos]s left-handed heavy middle of the lineup, working a combined 5 2/3 innings of two-run relief in his three appearances against the Spartans... pitched in three games on the spring break trip, including an inning and two-thirds at No. 1-ranked Vanderbilt... worked an inning of scoreless relief in the midweek win against Wabash... pitched three innings of one-hit relief to close out the win the UIC... worked a season-high 3 2/3 innings of relief in the middle game of the Northwestern series... retired the 3-4-5 portion of the MSU lineup in order in his game one appearance in East Lansing... came back on Sunday and again retired the heart of the Spartans[apos] lineup... closed out the home win against UIC, working three more innings of one-run relief... finished off the sweep of Iowa with three innings of scoreless relief... worked three innings of one-run relief against Michigan State at the Big Ten Tournament.
