2012 Season
Academic All-Big Ten... Gunter pitched in 15 games, making seven starts... started a game each of the first seven weekends of the year before moving to the bullpen... earned wins in his starts against Charleston Southern and Murray State... also pitched well enough to win in the finale of the Ohio State series, working five innings of two-run ball... surrendered only one earned over 5 1/3 innings against Charleston Southern to help Purdue win the Auburn Tournament... followed that up with five innings of two-run ball to help Purdue finish a series sweep of Murray State... surrendered only one earned run over 4 2/3 innings in the finale of the Wichita State series... worked two innings of one-hit relief at Ball State and Illinois-Chicago in his first two appearances of the season out of the bullpen... pitched three innings one-run relief in the road win at Illinois State... induced a pair of inning-ending double play balls in his 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief in the win against Indiana State, the final game in the history of Lambert Field.

2011 Season
Academic All-Big Ten... Gunter pitched in 15 games, making eight starts... joined the weekend rotation during the second half of the Big Ten season... earned victories in starts against Northwestern, IPFW (home) and Wabash... was also the winning pitcher in relief in victories against Ball State (road) and Indiana (series finale)... got the final out of the midweek opener at Louisville to earn a save... made starts in five of the last six weekends of the season... excelled in relief in the Indiana series, working 6 2/3 innings of one-run relief over two appearances... struck out a career-high seven over 5 1/3 innings in his start against Iowa... led Purdue to the rubber game win at Northwestern with 5 2/3 innings of three-hit ball in a spot start... posted a 3.62 ERA and .257 batting average against in Big Ten play, ranking ninth in conference play in average against... limited opposing batters to a .250 average with two outs in an inning... induced three ground ball double plays in 45 1/3 innings... went 2-0 with a save and a .243 batting average against in March... posted the same record in April while lowering his batting average against to .234, striking out 12 versus two walks in 12 2/3 innings... went 3-0 with 14 strikeouts and a .213 batting average against in his five midweek appearances... was 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA and .226 batting average against in his six appearances at home... Wabash (March 23): worked five innings of one-hit ball, striking out five while not issuing a walk in his first start of the season... IPFW (March 29): earned another midweek win at home, pitching four innings of one-run ball... at Ball State (April 12): earned the win in relief in the comeback victory after recording the final two outs of the eighth inning... at Northwestern (April 23-24): despite having not pitched in 10 days, led Purdue to a big rubber game win with 5 2/3 innings of three-hit, shutout ball; surrendered only three singles and did not issue a walk... Indiana (April 30-May 1): was the Boilers' standout performer in the three-game sweep, working 3 1/3 innings of relief in both the series opener and finale; earned the victory in the finale with 3 1/3 innings of one-hit ball in which he did not issue a walk... at Michigan State (May 6-8): started game two of the series, pitching 4 2/3 innings of four-run ball and taking the loss... Illinois (May 13-15): started game two of the series, giving up four earned runs over five innings and taking the loss... Iowa (May 19-21): kept Purdue in the game, which they rallied to win, with 5 1/3 innings of two-run ball; struck out six his first time through the Iowa lineup on the way to a career-high seven Ks... at Big Ten Tournament (May 25-27): started the round two game against Michigan State but suffered the loss after getting tagged for 4 run over an inning and a third.

2010 Season
Gunter pitched in a team-high 22 games and started four Big Ten games late in the season ... made starts against Indiana, Michigan State, Illinois and Iowa ... earned the victory in the opener of the Minnesota series and recorded all three of his saves on the spring break trip in wins against Le Moyne, Eastern Kentucky and Ohio ... limited opposing hitters to a team-best .186 average with two outs in an inning ... allowed only seven of 22 inherited base runners to score, good for a team-best 32 percent clip ... worked five innings of scoreless one-hit relief over four appearances on the spring break trip ... tallied 14 strikeouts vs. three walks with a 2.13 ERA in 12 2/3 innings pitched in March ... his best performance as a starter came in game two of the Michigan State series, limiting the Spartans to two runs over 5 1/3 innings ... struck out a season-high five over five innings in his start at Indiana ... longest relief out of the season was 3 2/3 innings of two-run work in the finale of the Michigan series ... also made relief appearances in Big Ten games against Penn State and Northwestern ... Big Ten Rankings: 10th in appearances ... Purdue Single-Season Rankings: 15th in appearances.
