High School: Four-time letterwinner in cross country; four-time letterwinner in track and field; four-time Academic All-Conference selection; sophomore year won the 4 X 800 meter Conference Championship and a member of the Regional Championship team; won the Wheaton North Cross Country Invitational Championship; as a Junior was a member of the Conference and Regional Championship team; named All-Conference Junior and Senior; senior year received Illinois State Scholar; competed for the Wheaton North Falcons.
Personal: Samuel Thomas Hoffman was born Feb. 24, 1994, in Winfield, Ill.; is the son of Larry and Debbie Hoffman; has one brother, Ryan, and one sister, Lauren; Ryan attends Purdue and Lauren plays basketball at Augustana; Sam joins a long list of family members who attended Purdue including his dad, brother, five cousins, and one uncle; father was a member of the All-American Marching Band; enjoys playing basketball, biking, water skiing, and hanging out with friends in his free time; majoring in Management.
