WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Three of Purdue's finest student-athletes will join a pair of Academic All-American Hall of Famers in appearances at schools in the Lafayette area next Monday as part of Life's Playbook series, designed to help students prepare for their futures.

Katie Douglas, Carson Cunningham and Drew Brees, all of whom earned Academic All-America status at Purdue last year as juniors, will assist Ann Donovan and Oliver Luck, both recent inductees into the Academic All-American Hall of Fame, in putting on assemblies at West Lafayette Junior/Senior High School and Harrison High School.

Douglas, a member of the Boilermakers' women's basketball team, and Cunningham of the men's basketball team will assist Donovan at West Lafayette during a 9 a.m. assembly of junior high students. Donovan, now the coach of the Indianapolis Fever in the WNBA, is a former women's basketball player and Academic All-American at Old Dominion.

Brees, starting quarterback for the Purdue football team, will assist Luck during a 12:30 p.m. session for upperclassman athletes at Harrison. Luck is a former Academic All-American football player at West Virginia, a former NFL player and past president of NFL Europe.
