Thirty-two Boilermaker Student Athletes Garner Academic Recognition Big Ten announces Winter Academic All-Big Ten list

Thirty-two Purdue student-athletes received recognition for their academic achievements as the Big Ten Conference released the Winter Sports Academic All-Conference list.

The women's swimming and diving team saw 16 student-athletes garner accolades, the most of any Purdue sport. Men's swimming and diving had nine honorees, wrestling had four members receive honors, men's basketball added two and women's basketball had one honoree.

The Big Ten honored 415 winter sports student-athletes, an increase of 27 honorees over last year. The list of honored student-athletes features 21 men's and 41 women's basketball players, 33 men's and 47 women's gymnasts, 80 men's and 135 women's swimmers and divers and 58 wrestlers. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better.
