Thirty-eight Purdue student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, announced today by the Big Ten office.
A total of 409 student-athletes from around the Big Ten conference received recognition. The student-athletes met the criteria of being at least a second year student at the institution and carrying a minimum grade-point average of 3.0.
Purdue sophomore Mark Wolfred topped the list of honorees with a perfect GPA. Wolfred, a member of the men's swimming and diving team, was one of three student-athletes of the Big Ten to maintain the perfect grade-point average.
