• Dug out of a 4-0 hole to No. 7 ranked Tanner Sloan of South Dakota State to tie things at 8-8 at the end of regulation and then secured the 10-8 sudden victory.
• Earned his third straight Academic All-Big Ten and NWCA Scholar All-America honors, in addition to receiving his first career Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors.
