Ryan Schoen
Ryan Schoen was elevated to assistant director of strength and conditioning in 2018 after serving as a strength and conditioning professional intern at Purdue during the 2017-18 school year. Schoen primarily works with the Boilermakers’ wrestling team and the throwers from track & field.
 
Schoen came to Purdue from Ball State, where he was a graduate assistant and undergraduate strength and conditioning intern. Over the course of 18 months, he worked with nearly every Cardinal program. As a graduate assistant, Schoen was the strength and conditioning coach for Ball State’s baseball, women’s field hockey and women’s swimming teams.

Schoen is a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified strength and conditioning specialist and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 certified sports performance coach.
 
In 2016, the Ohio native obtained a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a minor in foundations of business from Ball State. Schoen also obtained a master's degree in sports performance from Ball State in 2018.
