Competed in seven bouts in his rookie season, earning a 5-2 record ... won his first career match, defeating Calumet College of St. Joseph[apos]s Jonathan Tyler, 4-2 (11/19) ... went 1-1 at the Cleveland State Open (12/11) before defaulting from the tournament ... took second place at the Simonson Open (1/22), posting a 3-1 mark on the day.

Three-time varsity letterwinner at Harrison high school; two-time Indiana State High School Championship qualifier, taking fourth place at the state championships as a senior; owns several school records, including a season-best record of 56-4, 136 career wins and 69 career pins; helped his team to conference, sectional and regional championships as a senior; two-time team most valuable wrester.
