Finished 22-10 in his return from redshirt, earning his third varsity letter and advancing to his third NCAA Championship ... won his first eight matches of the season, including three major decisions and a fall ... placed fourth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (12/3-4), scoring four pins ... went 2-0 at the NWCA National Duals (1/8), including a 1-0 win over 11th-ranked Chris Perry of Oklahoma State, starting a streak of seven consecutive victories through 1/21 ... pinned two of three opponents in a 3-0 outing at the Wendy[apos]s Classic (1/15) ... upended seventh-ranked Kevin Steinhaus of Minnesota, 4-3, in Big Ten Duals en route to a 3-4 conference record ... placed seventh at the Big Ten Championships (3/5-6), needing an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships (3/17), where he was 0-2 ... led the team with nine falls, building his career total to 45, good for third all-time at Purdue ... his 22 wins were tied for the team lead ... earned NWCA All-Academic and Academic All-Big Ten awards.

Posted a 25-17 record (2-6 Big Ten) in his first season at Purdue, smashing the Boilermakers[apos] single season falls record and becoming the first true freshman NCAA qualifier since 2005 ... took sixth place at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/3), pinning four opponents ... went 2-1 at the ACC/Big Ten Clash (11/17) with a pin and a major decision ... notched a trio of falls at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (11/30-12/1), including a 4:48 pin of 12th-ranked Kurt Brenner of West Virginia ... pinned six straight opponents to start the second half of the season ... snapped the single-season fall mark with a 3:47-fall over Northwestern[apos]s Adil Kolovic (2/15) ... earned an automatic bid to nationals with a seventh-place showing at the Big Ten Championships (3/8-9) ... went 2-2 at the NCAA Championships (3/20-22), notching his Purdue record 19th fall of the season over ninth-seeded Brent Chriswell of Arizona State in the first round.
