Before Purdue
• Couch spent her first year of college as part of the diving team at the University of Texas but opted to redshirt while recovering from a back injury that also sidelined the year prior.
• Completed her high school diploma via the online K12 International Academy after moving from Orlando to Indianapolis in 2010 to train at the USA Diving National Training Center.
• 10-meter platform champion at the 2011 USA Diving Junior National Championships.
• Advanced to the semifinals of the 10-meter competition at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, finishing 15th overall.
• Finished fifth on both 1-meter and platform at the 2011 Junior Pan American Championships.
• Silver medalist at the Canadian International Invitational a year earlier.
• Finished among the top 10 in all three individual diving events at the 2009 Speedo Junior Nationals.
• Also competed at USA Diving Junior and Senior Nationals in synchronized 3-meter and platform.
