Academic All-Big Ten... Gallagher competed primarily in the distance freestyle and breaststroke events... season-best times in the 1000 (10:21.91, 5th) and 1650 free (16:48.40, 4th) as well as the 200 breast (2:17.55, 4th) all ranked among the top five on the team in 2014-15... finished her career ranked among the Purdue all-time Top 10 in the 500 (4:46.62, 7th), 1000 (9:52.24, 4th) and 1650 free (16:22.49, 5th) as well as the 400 IM (4:19.90, 9th)... posted her season-best times in the 200 breast and the mile at the Big Ten Championships... accounted for 10 team points at the Ohio State Invitational to help Purdue win the meet... finished 10th overall in the mile and fourth in the B final of the 500 free (4:54.20) with a season-best time... also qualified for the B final of the 200 breast and the C final of the 200 free at Ohio State.
2013-14
Gallagher competed primarily in the distance freestyle and breaststroke events... season-best times in the 500 (4:55.52, 4th), 1000 (10:19.33, 4th) and 1650 free (17:02.39, 4th) as well as the 100 (1:03.76, 2nd) and 200 breast (2:18.72, 4th) all ranked among the top five on the team in 2013-14... continues to rank among the Purdue all-time top five in the 500 (4:46.62, 5th), 1000 (9:52.24, 2nd) and 1650 free (16:22.49, 2nd)... posted season-best times in the 100 and 200 breast at the Ohio State Invitational, accounting for 14 team points by qualifying for the A final of both events... top time in the 500 free was at the Big Ten Championships... season best in the 1000 free was in the dual meet win vs. Notre Dame... posted times of 1:04.88 and 2:19.08 in the breaststroke events at Big Tens... raced in the 200 IM at the Indiana Intercollegiates... continues to rank eighth in program history in the 400 IM (4:19.90).
2012-13
Gallagher competed in eight different individual events, racing most frequently in the distance freestyle events & 400 IM... also competed in the 100 back, 200 breast and 200 IM... season-best times in the 500 free (4:49.23, 3rd), 1000 free (10:05.89, 2nd), 1650 free (16:36.06, 3rd) and 400 IM (4:20.10, 2nd) all ranked among the top five on the team in 2012-13... season-best times in the 500 free, 200 breast (2:19.49) and 400 IM were at the Big Ten Championships... season-best times in the mile was at the Purdue Invitational, where she finished second by one hundredth of a second... qualified for the C final of the 500 free at Big Ten Championships... accounted for 49 points at the Purdue Invitational, scoring in four events: 500 and 1650 free, 200 breast and 400 IM... won the B final of the 500 free at Purdue Invite and qualified for the A final of the 200 breast and 400 IM... won the 1000 free at the in the outdoor dual meet versus Florida Atlantic... raced in the 100 back and 200 IM at the Indiana Intercollegiates.
2011-12
Gallagher competed in eight different events, racing most frequently in the distance freestyle events... U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualifier in the 800m free... season-best times in the 1000 (9:52.24) and 1650 free (16:22.49) from the Big Ten Championships were tops on the team in 2011-12 and second fastest in program history... her top times in the 500 free (4:46.62, 3rd) and 400 IM (4:19.90, 6th) from Big Tens were second best on the team in 2011-12 and also among the Top 10 in program history... accounted for seven team points by qualifying for the B final in the 500 free and placing 11th in the mile... won the mile at the Ohio State Invitational, a meet where she accounted for 46 team points after also placing sixth in the A final of the 500 free, eighth in the A final of the 200 breast and seventh in the B final of the 200 IM... won the 1000 free in the dual meet win against Northwestern... finished first in the 500 free in the dual meet victory versus Notre Dame... competed in the 100 breast and 200 IM at the Indiana Intercollegiates.
Before Purdue
Four-year varsity letter-winner and team MVP at McCutcheon High School... 200 and 500 free All-American as an upperclassman... three-year Indiana state meet qualifier in the 200 and 500 free, finishing second in the 500 as a senior and sixth in the 200 as a junior... in the 500 free at state, also took third as a sophomore and fourth as a junior... three-time sectional champion in the 200 and 500 free, helping McCutcheon win the team titles all three years... on the club circuit with Maverick Aquatics, posted an Olympic Trial cut time in the 800 free, a senior national cut in the 1500 free and junior national cuts in the 100 breast, 400 free and 400 IM... National Honor Society.

Full name is Megan Sue Gallagher... born in Columbus, Ind.... daughter of William and Susan Gallagher, both Purdue alumni... family also includes younger sisters Clare and Katelyn... her uncle James and aunt JoAnn are also Purdue alumni... majoring in psychology.
