Li competed primarily in the freestyle sprints and backstroke events... swam the anchor leg on the record-setting 200 medley relay at the Big Ten Championships... Li competed in the freestyle sprints and backstroke events... season-best times in the 50 (23.09, 5th) and 100 free (50.97, 5th) as well as the 100 back (58.19, 3rd) all ranked among the top five on the team in 2013-14... posted her season-best times in the 50 free and 100 back at the Big Ten Championships... recorded her top time in the 100 free at the Boiler-Make-It NCAA Last Chance meet, the same day in which she helped the 200 free relay team post Purdue's best time of the year in the event... was also part of the Boilers' top 200 medley relay and second fastest 400 medley relay teams of the season at the Ohio State Invitational... runner up in the C final of the 50 free at the Ohio State Invitational... also qualified for the C finals of the 100 and 200 back (2:05.41) at Ohio State, posting her season-best time in the 200 back... swam the leadoff leg on the victorious 200 medley relays at the November Quad meet and Indiana Intercollegiates.

Li competed in the backstroke events and the freestyle sprints... posted season-best times in her four events - 50 (23.64) and 100 free (52.76), 100 (56.37) and 200 back (2:04.53) - at the Purdue Invitational... season-best time in the 100 back ranked fifth best on the team in 2012-13... also competed in her four events at the Ohio State Winter Invite... accounted for 25 team points at the Purdue Invitational by finishing eighth in the A final of the 50 free, second in the B final of the 100 back and seventh in the B final of the 200 back... also won heat 2 of the 50 free in the prelims and helped her 200 free relay team win heat 2 at the Purdue Invite... swam the 200 IM at the Boiler-Make-It NCAA Last Chance meet.
2011-12: Li competed primarily in the backstroke events and 50 free... season-best times in the 100 (55.63, 3rd) and 200 back (2:02.50, 5th) from the Big Ten Championships both ranked among the top five on the team in 2011-12... her 100 (7th) and 200 back (10th) times also ranked among the fastest in program history... honored with the team's Most Improved award... also competed in the 50 free at Big Tens, finishing with a season-best time of 23.45... qualified for the C final of the 100 back at Big Tens... qualified for the C final of the 50 free, 100 and 200 back at the Ohio State Invitational, placing third in in the 200... was also part of 200 free and 400 medley relay teams at Ohio State that posted Purdue's fourth-fastest times of the year... swam the 100 free and 200 IM at the Boiler-Make-It NCAA Last Chance meet... made her Purdue debut in the November dual meet win against Northwestern after making the team as a walk-on.
Before Purdue: Four-year medalist at the SCM Mexican Nationals... also a three-year medalist at the Mexican National Olympics... medaled in the 50 free three times (2008, 2009 & 2011) and the 100 free twice (2008 & 2011); also medaled in the 50 and 200 back... medaled twice in the 50 free (2008 & 2011) and 50 back (2008 & 2010) at the Mexican National Olympics... competed for coach Margarita Nolasco... graduated in the top 10 percent of her academic class.
Personal: Full name is Anji Ines Li... born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, a community located about 50 miles south of Mexico City... daughter of Xiangyue Li and Hailin Zhao; her father Xiangyue is a civil engineer and her mother Hailin is a physics professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)... family also includes younger brother Andong Li... majoring in actuarial science.
