Monteiro competed primarily in the breaststroke and IM events... selected as the co-winner of the team's most improved award... season-best times in the 100 (1:04.06, 3rd) and 200 breast (2:17.86, 2nd) along with the 400 IM (4:20.00, 3rd) all ranked among the top five on the team in 2013-14... moved into ninth place in program history in the 400 IM... qualified for the C finals of the 200 breast and 400 IM at the Big Ten Championships while posting season-best times... also had a season-best time in the 200 IM (2:04.17) at Big Tens... top time in the 100 breast was in the dual meet at Indiana... won heat 1 and took fourth overall in the 200 breast at the Big Ten Triple Duals... accounted for four team points at the Ohio State Invitational by placing third in the B final of the 200 breast... also qualified for the B final of the 100 breast and the C final of the 400 IM at Ohio State... competed in the 500 free at the Indiana Intercollegiates and dual meet win vs. Michigan State.
2012-13: Monteiro competed primarily in the breaststroke events and 200 IM... posted season-best times in the 200 breast (2:23.22) and 400 IM (4:28.45) at the Purdue Invitational... season-best in the 100 breast (1:06.19) recorded at the Boiler-Make-It NCAA Last Chance Meet... had her top showing in the 200 IM (2:09.17) at the Ohio State Winter Invite... finished seventh in the B final of the 200 breast at the Purdue Invitational to account for two team points... competed in four events at the Purdue Invite and three at the Ohio State Winter Invite.
Before Purdue: Monteiro was a four-year letter-winner for coach Daniel Jau at Grapevine High School in Grapevine, Texas... established new school records in the 100 breast, 200 IM and 200 medley relay... two-time team captain and MVP as an upperclassman... NISCA Academic All-American and TISCA Academic All-State as a senior...
