Mimi Burke is in her second year with the Purdue women's golf program, joining the team in the fall of 2015. Burke was a four-year letterwinner at Appalachian State University from 2009 to 2013, and recently served as the assistant professional at the River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.
"We're excited about what Mimi brings to the program," said Brouse. "She has a strong work ethic and great experience in the golf world, and I'm confident our players have benefited greatly from her leadership both on and off the golf course."
While at River Run Country Club, the home of several major tournaments, including the Web.com Tour's Chiquita Classic, Burke was responsible for management and set-up of youth camps and tournaments, promotion of merchandise and activities in the pro shop and daily records and inventory of the pro shop.
Before River Run Burke worked with the Valero Texas Open, developing the player handbook, overseeing player activities with local companies and coordinating Executive Women's Day. She performed several other duties for the event, including overseeing ticket elements, supervising hospitality tents and providing addition support throughout the tournament staff.
While at Appalachian State Burke had several outstanding performances, leading to the 10th-best career stroke average in program history. She also carded the seventh-best 54-hole score all-time for the Mountaineers,
A native of Mooresville, N.C., Burke majored in management at Appalachian State, earning her bachelor's degree in 2013.
