Posted times of 20.23 and 44.91 at Big Tens along with swimming with the 200 free relay team
Ranked second on the team in 50 and fifth in the 100
Won the 50 free and helped Purdue sweep the relays in his collegiate debut at Miami (Ohio), earning Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors
