Peter Koss Season 2012-13

2012-13:

• Koss competed primarily in the freestyle sprints
• Posted season-best times in the 50 (21.23), 100 (46.04) and 200 free (1:40.71) at the Michigan First Chance meet
• Placed sixth as Purdue's top finisher in the 200 free at the Michigan First Chance meet
• Finished the season strong with his second-best time of the year in the 100 free (46.22) in the dual meet with Indiana
• Competed in the freestyle sprints as well as the 100 back at the Purdue Invitational
• Also raced in the 100 fly at Michigan

Before Purdue:

• Koss was a four-year letter-winner for coaches Kyle Messmore and John Davis at Westfield High School
• Four-year Indiana state meet qualifier
• Individually, placed fifth the 200 free and eighth in the 100 free at state as a senior
• Finished among the top eight in each of his events as a junior and helped the Westfield 400 free relay team take third
• Team MVP as a senior

• Full name is Peter Louis William Koss
• Parents are Bill and Karen Koss
• His father Bill is a Purdue alumnus and swam for the Boilermakers
• Majoring in mechanical engineering technology with a career ambition of specializing in military intelligence as an officer in the United States Army
• Involved in the Purdue ROTC program
