• Posted a 74.11 stroke average with 12 rounds of even or under par.
• Stroke average was the sixth-best average by a freshman in school history. 
• Recorded four top-20 and two top-10 finishes, including a sixth-place showing at the elite Puerto Rico Classic (-1).
• The performance in Puerto Rico earned him Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors. 
• Also finished T-8th at the Northern Intercollegiate, T-12th at Erin Hills and T-19th at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate.
• Led the team with a T-23rd showing at the NCAA Kissimmee Regional (-3). 
• Along with teammate Cole Bradley, became the first freshman in school history with two rounds of 70 or better in NCAA action.
• Led the team with six eagles.

HIGH SCHOOL
• One of the top amateurs in Australia, Hong brings impressive credentials to Purdue.
• Had an impressive stroke average of 69.88 as a senior at Sydney Boys High School.
• Captained NSW for the Australian Junior Interstate Series, won by his squad.
• Ranked as the No. 5-ranked junior in Australia.
• Finished tied for fourth at the NSW Amateur.
• In 2016, represented Australia in the IMG World Junior Championship and finished second in the Australian Junior Championship.
