Ryan Bowen enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Purdue men[apos]s golf program. Last season, Bowen helped the Boilermakers reach their first NCAA Championship in nine years. The Boilemakers reached the NCAAs with a young team, boasting just one senior and three freshmen in their top six golfers. Prior to his arrival at Purdue, Bowen spent the last four years coaching at two of the premier high school golf programs in the state of Indiana, spending time at Zionsville High School in 2013 and at Cathedral High School from October 2009 to 2012. While at Zionsville a year ago, Bowen helped coach a junior golfer who won the 2013 IHSAA State Championship and was named to the Indiana High School All-State team. In 2012, Bowen assisted a Cathedral High School team that finished tied for sixth at the IHSAA State Championship, while a Cathedral individual placed third at the event and was named to the Indiana All-State team. [quote]We are excited to have him join our program and his knowledge and understanding of the game will be very beneficial for our student-athletes.[quote] Bowen graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2006 and earned his Master[apos]s in Business Administration in 2008 from Ball State University. He was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society and a Top 100 student at Butler after graduating with a 3.92 GPA. He is a native of Carmel, Indiana. #BoilerUp
