• Thompson appeared in all 28 games drawing starts in the first five games of the season.
• Averaged 4.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 23-of-58 (.397) from long distance.
• Scored a career-high tying 17 points, going 7-of-8 from the field, at No. 14-ranked Rutgers.

• Had a strong freshman season, averaging 5.6 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game in 18.7 minutes per contest.
• Ranked third on the team with 36 3-pointers. His 36 trifectas were the eighth most by a freshman in school history, while his 100 attempts were seventh.
• His 36 triples were the third most by a freshman in the Big Ten (Iowa’s C.J. Frederick – 47; Michigan’s Franz Wagner – 41).
• Started year 17 of 52 (.327) from long distance in the first 15 games, but went 19 of 48 (.396) from deep over the last 16 games.
• Scored a career-high 17 points against Chicago State, making five 3-pointers. The five triples were tied for the most by a freshman in school history and most for a Purdue freshman since Dec. 2005.
• Tallied 15 points against Penn State, going 8 of 12 from the free throw line.
• Scored 14 points in a home win over Wisconsin (6-8 FGs) and road loss to Michigan (all in the second half).
• Scored 11 points against Central Michigan and 10 at Nebraska.
• Distributed five assists against Jacksonville State.

HIGH SCHOOL
• A three-star recruit, Thompson verbally committed to the Boilermakers on Jan. 7, 2018.
• One of the more underrated players in America, Thompson had a big summer performance for Indy Heat on the AAU scene. His long-standing commitment to Purdue likely scared off possible suitors.
• Averaged 23.1 points, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game for Zionsville High School. Early on during his junior year, he scored 40 points in a win over Kokomo.
• Thompson led the team to a 22-4 record, a Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship and a sectional championship.
• Was named to the Peach Jam All-Breakout Team by D1Circuit.com.
• Broke out in a big way as a sophomore during the AAU season, scoring 44 points against CP3 in a 2016 Peach Jam game to start his interest.
• Can score from a variety of ways, excelling behind the arc and on floaters over the defense.
