• Appeared in one game, the victory over Penn State on Feb. 26.
• Scored one point with one rebound in two minutes of action against the Nittany Lions.
HIGH SCHOOL
• Starred at Lafayette Central Catholic as a four-year starter, graduating in 2020.
• Led team to the Hoosier Conference title as a senior as the team MVP, averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. Was named the small school Player of the Year for the second time.
• Finished career as Central Catholic's all-time leading scorer (1,601 points) and all-time leader in assists (600). Ranked second on school's all-time rebound list (1,008).
• As a junior, led team to Regional Championship and a 24-5 record. Was named the small school Player of the Year and was an Indiana Junior All-Star.
• Helped team to a state runner-up finish as a freshman in 2016-17.
• Also excelled on the baseball diamond, as a three-year starter, including hitting .398 as a freshman.

• Son of Dave and Wendy Barrett.
• Has two older siblings (Drake, Paydin) that attended Purdue and two younger siblings.
• Father, Dave, played basketball at Purdue from 1988-91, and started 14 games as a senior in 1991. Former teammate of head coach Matt Painter.
• Father was also his high school coach at Lafayette Central Catholic.
• Saw "a special opportunity to walk-on at Purdue at his father's university, and grew up a Purdue fan". Turned down offers from lower-level schools.
