After a stellar senior season in 2018-19, Grady Eifert returns to the Boilermaker program for his second season as a graduate assistant. His role will include opponent scouting, film breakdown, helping with individual workouts and administrative duties as he breaks into the collegiate coaching ranks.
Eifert wrapped up his career as one of the most-beloved Boilermakers in school history after arriving at Purdue as a walk-on, then starting all 36 games as a senior for a Purdue squad that made the Elite Eight. He averaged just 5.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a senior, but was named the recipient of the team’s Tom Reiter Award, Courage Award and Mr. Hustle Award at the team’s season-ending banquet. Eifert shot over 50.0 percent from the field, a team-best 43.8 percent from 3-point range and boasted an assist / turnover ratio of 3.11 (59 / 19) while leading the country in offensive rating.
