• A four-star center according to ESPN.com, he is ranked No. 87 in the ESPN 100. 
• Ranked as the sixth-best center in America according to 247Sports. 
• Chose Purdue over offers from Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Miami (Fla.) and others. 
• Was named one of FanRag Sports Under the Radar Freshmen in the Big Ten. 
• Was forced to sit out half of his senior year following concerns about his eligibility after he started taking high school classes in Ghana. His four-year clock in Florida had run out at the semester break. 
• Averaged 19 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots during his shortened senior year. 
• Took only one official visit -- to Purdue in June 2017. 
• Has only played basketball for about four years after giving up his first love -- soccer. 
• A native of Ghana, Dowuona arrived in Miami in the summer of 2015.
• Named Team MVP as a junior after averaging about 13 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. Led Westwood Christian to a district title.
