2016-17 / AS A JUNIOR

• Thompson started all 35 games, averaging 7.4 points, 2.9 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game. 
• Thompson shot 45.5 percent from the field, 40.2 percent (53-of-132) from 3-point range and 70.5 percent from the free throw line. 
• Posted an impressive 3.92 assist/turnover ratio (102/26) in 1,000 minutes played. Would have finished second nationally in assist/turnover ratio if he would have recorded three more assists on the season. 
• As it stands now, Thompson ranks first (2015-16; 4.04) and second (2016-17; 3.92) on Purdue's single-season assist/turnover ratio list.

• In 15 games against NCAA Tournament qualifiers, Thompson averaged 8.0 points, shot 26-of-49 (.531) from long distance and had seven turnovers in 439 minutes (turnover every 62.7 minutes played). 
• Dished out a season-high seven assists against Norfolk State. 
• Had seven games of five or more assists, posting a 6-1 record.

2015-16 / AS A SOPHOMORE

• Thompson appeared in all 35 games, starting 24 games, including the last 14 games of the season. He averaged 5.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in 22.6 minutes per outing. 
• Recorded the highest assist-to-turnover ratio (4.04) in school history (93:23). 
• Started the year with zero turnovers in his first six games and had zero turnovers in 22-of-35 games. 
• Had a stretch from Jan. 7 to Feb. 16, where he had one turnover in 12 games (277 minutes; 29 assists vs. one turnover). 
• Named to the Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic All-Tournament team after scoring 15 points with five rebounds and four assists in the title game vs. Florida. 
• Had nine assists in just 20 minutes against Howard. There were just six games nationally in 2015-16 where an individual had at least nine assists in 20 or fewer minutes. 
• Shot over 50.0 percent from 3-point range in 16-of-35 games. 
• Tallied a career-high 22 points (6-of-8 3Ps) with four assists in a Senior Night win over Wisconsin in the season finale.

2014-15 / AS A FRESHMAN

• Thompson appeared in 30 games, earning his first career start against IPFW on Dec. 8. 
• Thompson averaged 2.4 PPG, 0.9 RPG and 1.1 APG in 13.6 minutes per contest. He also recorded an assist-to-turnover ratio of 33-to-19 (1.74). 
• Over his last 10 appearances, Thompson went 5-of-11 (.455) from long distance. In his first 20 games, he went just 9-of-38 (.237). 
• Ranked third on the team in steals (21) despite playing the ninth-most minutes. 
• Was the difference-maker in the regular-season finale against Illinois, where he scored seven points with two assists, three steals and two rebounds in 14 minutes. His steal and layup of an Illinois inbounds pass late in the first half was a huge moment that kick-started Purdue's run to victory. 
• Scored a career-high nine points with a career-high three assists against No. 6-ranked Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament, connecting on 3-of-4 attempts from the field. His three-pointer at the halftime buzzer gave the Boilermakers a 35-30 halftime lead. 
• Tallied seven points and two assists against Missouri in the EASports Maui Invitational. Also made big plays in the overtime win over BYU (4 points, 1 steal). 
• Also had seven points in losses to North Florida and Gardner-Webb. 
• Averaged 3.8 PPG in the season's first seven games, but just 1.8 PPG in his final 23 appearances. 

HIGH SCHOOL 
• A three-star recruit by Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247Sports.com and a two-star recruit by ESPN.com. 
• Averaged over 24 points per game as a senior and was named an Indiana All-Star and a Hoosier Basketball All-Star. 
• Named All-Marion County three times and earned a spot on the 10-member Indianapolis Star Super Team in 2014. 
• Named one of the three most-underrated recruits in the Big Ten by SportsWatch.com. 
• Averaged almost 24 points per game as a junior and was selected as a 2013 Indiana Junior All-Star. 
• Tallied 40 points in the prestigious Indianapolis Legacy Showcase following his junior year. 
• Averaged 18.4 points per game as a sophomore and 14.2 points per game as a freshman. 
• Earned three selections to the Hoosier Basketball Magazine All-State team.

• Son of LaSalle and Tonja Thompson. 
• Has a younger brother, Isaiah. 
• Father, LaSalle, played basketball at Indiana State and Ball State and competed on the Indiana All-Star Team with former Boilermaker great Glenn Robinson. He played several years overseas following his collegiate career.
