• Averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, leading the team with 133 helpers. Also shot 45.3 percent from long range (72-of-159) to rank second in the Big Ten in 3-point percentage.

• His assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.90 (82:21) is the second-highest mark in school history (minimum of 75 assists). 
• Shot 38.6 percent (44-of-114) from long distance, but upped his percentage to 41.5 percent (22-of-53) from deep in league play only. 
• Never shied away from taking the big shot, hitting monster 3-pointers against Wisconsin in the Big Ten opener, Maryland, Indiana and in the NCAA Tournament first-round game against Little Rock. 
• In February and March, Mathias was 18-of-40 (.450) from long distance, averaging 6.3 points and 2.5 assists per game. In November, December and January, Mathias went 26-of-74 (.351) and averaged 5.0 points and 2.3 assists per game. 
• Matched a career high with 17 points, 10 coming in the final four minutes of the first half, in a win over No. 10-ranked Maryland. Went 7-of-10 from the field in the victory over the Terrapins. After the game, Reggie Miller Tweeted at him on representing No. 31. 
• During the four postseason games, ranked fifth on the team in scoring (7.3 PPG) and was 8-of-18 (.444) from long distance. 
• In games that he hit at least two 3-pointers, Purdue went 10-4. 
• Scored a career-high 17 points with five 3-pointers in the second game of the season against Vermont. 
• In back-to-back games against Maryland and Nebraska late in the year, averaged 14.0 PPG, 2.5 RPG and 5.0 APG, while shooting 10-of-17 from the field and 5-of-11 from long distance.

• Mathias appeared in all 34 games with 17 starts, including the last 15 games of the season. 
• Averaged 4.8 PPG, 2.1 RPG and 1.4 APG in 19.6 minutes per outing. 
• Over the last nine games, averaged 7.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG And 1.4 APG while shooting 16-of-41 (.390) from three-point range. 
• Had a five-game stretch from Feb. 15 to March 4, where he scored in double figures four times and averaged 9.6 PPG while shooting 12-of-25 (.480) from three-point range against Nebraska, Indiana, Rutgers, Ohio State and Michigan State. 
• Ended the season making a three-pointer in each of the last nine games. 
• Recorded the third-best assist-to-turnover ratio by a freshman in school history (1.81) and his 38 three-pointers made were the fifth most by a freshman in school history. 
• In games he started (17), Mathias averaged 5.9 PPG in 23.2 minutes per game while shooting 25 free throws. In the games he did not start (17), Mathias averaged 3.8 PPG in 16.1 minutes per game, shooting just six free throws. 
• Shot 20 free throws in the last nine games, compared to just 11 free throws in the first 25 contests. 
• Had the best game of his career against eventual Final Four participant Michigan State, scoring a career-high 12 points with six rebounds and two steals. 
• Tallied seven points with six rebounds and career-high five assists in the Big Ten Tournament against Penn State.

• Was selected to play on the Ohio Rising All-Stars Team, was the Lima News 2013 Dream Team Player of the Year and an Associated Press Division II All-Ohio First Team honoree. 
• Also honored as the Associated Press District Co-Player of the Year and the District 8 and Western Buckeye League (WBL) Player of the Year. 
• Surpassed 1,000 career points on Jan. 25, 2013 against Kenton High School.
