- Qualified for states as a junior in the mile, 4x400m and 4x800m relays
- Was part of the state championships winning 4x800m relay team that set the state record by breaking the 9:00 mark

- Broke the five minute mile as a junior
- Was named the MVP of her sophomore basketball team
- Cross country team finished third in the state her freshman and sophomore years
- Finished second in the state as a sophomore in the 4x800m relay
- All-conference and all-state in track as a sophomore and all-conference in cross country

- Hope Victoria Schmelzle was born Feb. 18, 1995, to parents Carl and Theresa Schmelzle
- Has three older sisters, Jacque, Jill and Audrey, and two brothers-in-law, Kevin and Brian
- Majoring in human services with an interest in health care
- Plans to become a nurse or another profession within the medical field
- Enjoys dancing, singing, country music and all sports including water skiing and hiking
