- Finished 13th in the 800m run at the Rankin/Poehlein Invite with a time of 2:17.00.
2014 (FRESHMAN)
- Did not compete in any indoor/outdoor meets in the 2013-14 track seasons for the Boilermakers.
High School: Four year letterwinner in cross country, track and basketball; earned teams Mental Attitude Award for cross country as a sophomore; track MVP as a junior and senior; track and cross country captain as a junior and senior; basketball captain as a senior; named basketball team MVP during her senior year; set school records in the 4x800m, 4x400m and 4x100m relays; finished second in the state in 4x800m relay as a senior; finished ninth in the 4x400m relay as a senior; was an All-American in the 4x800m relay during her final prep season; qualified for New Balance Nationals in her final year; cross country team won sections, regionals and semi-state all four years; earned Sertoma Award during her career.
Personal: Amy M. Poynter was born Sept. 29, 1994, to parents Bobbie and Linda Poynter; has two older sisters, Jenna and Mandy; majoring in pre-physical therapy; plans to become a physical therapist; enjoys taking pictures, making bracelets, eating and playing other sports.
