2014: Competed in six indoor meets, counting the Big Ten Championships, also participated in eight outdoor meets, including the Big Ten Championships ... took first-place at the Texas State Invitational in the 1500m ... finished first in the men's distance medley with Dillon Hinen, Andrew Kendrick and Kevin Griffith at the Meyo Invitational 2014 ... finished eighth in the distance medley and ninth in the 1500m at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships ... PR for the 1500m is recorded at 3:48.21 and 8:41.01 in the 3000m.

2012: Placed first at the Boilermaker Invite (2/18) in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:31.73. Competed at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/25) on the Distance Medley Relay team. Finished first at the Purdue Invitational (1/7) in the 800-meter run, crossing the line at 1:57.18. Finished second in the event with a 1:55.74 time at Hoosier Hills (2/11). Competed on the 4x400-meter relay team at the SEC/Big Ten Challenge (3/23).

High School:Earned four varsity letters in track and field and three varsity awards in cross country at Carmel High School; helped his team to the Indiana State High School Cross Country Team Championship as a junior, and ran on the state championship 4x800-meter relay that season as well; placed fourth at the state track and field championships in the 1,600-meter run as a senior, posting a season-best time of 4:13.1.

Personal:Daniel Lee Porter was born Dec. 10, 1991, in Indianapolis, Ind.; is the son of Stanley and Tina Porter; has two sisters, Shana and Brooke; enjoys basketball and history; majoring in secondary education.
