Attended the University of Otago in 2008, after graduating from St. Patrick[apos]s Wellington School; named the 2007 St. Patrick[apos]s Wellington Track and Field Athlete of the Year; placed fourth in the national cross country championship in 2007, and placed fourth in the 800-meter run at the New Zealand Secondary School Championship; earned second place at the 2009 New Zealand Championships with a career-best time of 3:51.10 in the 1,500-meter run, and placed third in the 3,000-meter run with a personal record time of 8:29.00.

Simon Anthony Rogers was born Oct. 1, 1989, in Hamilton, New Zealand; is the son of Tony and Philippa Rogers, his father was a 1984 Olympian for New Zealand; has one brother, Ben; enjoys watching the All Blacks Rugby Team and playing backyard cricket; intends to major in movement and sport science.
