High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and two-year letterwinner in track and field at Lawrence North High School. Two-time Indiana state high school track and field championship qualifier in the 3,200-meter run, placing seventh as a junior and running a career best time of 11:00, and leading her team to a runner-up finish as a senior. State cross country championship runner-up in 2006, also placed fifth as a junior. Earned all-county, conference, sectional and regional honors in cross country all four years.
