Competed in five different events during indoor and outdoor seasons; indoor events were the 800-meter run, 1-mile run and distance medley team; was top Boilermaker for the indoor 1-mile run with a best time of 4:11.11, which was set at the Boilermaker Invitational (2/20); part of top Boilermaker distance medley team; outdoor events were 800-meter run, 1,500-meter run and 5,000-meter run; set personal record in the 800-meter dash at the Dave Rankin Invitational with a time of 1:54.98; named Spring Academic All-Big Ten.
2009 (FRESHMAN)
Earned a varsity letter during the outdoor track and field season, qualifying for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships in the 1,500-meter run; his regional qualifier was the third-fastest 1,500-meter run time in school history at 3:47.48; participated in all six of the Boilermakers[apos] collegiate races in his first season at Purdue, scoring twice; posted a top 8K time of 25:51.26 at the Auburn Tiger Invitational; scored at the Pre-National Invitational and Big Ten Championships; crossed the line in 34:23.6 at his first career 10K race at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.

Four-year varsity letterwinner in track and field and cross country at Northridge High School; three-time team MVP of the track and field team and MVP of the cross country team as a senior; two-time Indiana high school all-state honoree in cross country and track and field; helped his team to the 2004 Indiana high school state cross country championship.
