Four-year varsity letterwinner in track and field and cross country at Avon High School; qualified for the Indiana State High School cross country championships as a senior; posted a top 5K cross country time of 15:46; served as a team captain for the track and field and cross country teams; clocked a top 1,600-meter run time of 4:25; led his team to a seventh-place state finish in the 4x800-meter relay.
