- Took first at the Meyo Invitational in the 3000m

- Ran a PR on the mile of 4.23.18 at the Fred Wilt Boilermaker Invitational
- Record a PR in the 800m of 1:59.42 at the IU/Purdue Duals
2013 (FRESHMAN)
- For the indoor season Cartwright competed in the 800-meter run and recorded his top time of the season with a 1:59.42 at the Purdue/Indiana Dual where he placed seventh
- During outdoor season, Cartwright competed in the 800 meter and the 1,500 meter runs
- In the 800m, he placed 13th at the Dave Rankin Invite with a time of 2:04.69; placed seventh in the 1,500m with a time of 4:07.90 at the Dave Rankin
- Also ran the mile during indoor season with a best of 4:23.18
- Ran a leg of the 4x800m relay at the Purdue/Indiana Dual
