Purdue Stands 27th In Directors' Cup Standings Boilermakers climb three spots in standings

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Through the completion of four sports in the spring championship season, Purdue stands in 27th place in the NACDA Directors' Cup Division I standings with 462 points.

Eight-time champion Stanford is currently in first place with 1,283.75 points, 375.25 points ahead of the nearest competition.

Recent national finishes by the women's golf team (12th) and women's tennis team (33rd) earned the Boilermakers 89.5 points, helping Purdue move past Michigan State, Arkansas and Colorado in the Directors' Cup standings.

The NACDA Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports - 10 women's and 10 men's. Each national champion receives 100 points.

Through the most recent release of standings in the Directors' Cup, Purdue is seventh among Big Ten Conference schools. Nine of the 11 member institutions in the Big Ten rank in the top 30, with Ohio State (2nd), Penn State (3rd) and Michigan (4th) ranking in the nation's top five.
