WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue appears to be well on its way to achieving the goal of selling 20,000 tickets for the January 1 Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla.
After five days of accepting orders, Athletic Ticket Manager George Ade reports that more than 10,000 tickets have already been ordered through his office. He has also received an estimate from the Outback Bowl Ticket Office that another 2,000 tickets have been sold to Purdue fans there.
Fans are reminded that the deadline for priority orders is December 10 and fans can submit their orders electronically on the Purdue Bowl website (www.purdue.edu/oop/bowl). Also, a bowl hotline offers telephone information and ordering options by calling 496-6300 locally or 1-800-927-4177 from outside the greater Lafayette area.
