WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue and Alabama men's basketball teams have announced that the two teams will wrap up their two-game, home-and-home series on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Time and television will be announced at a later date.

It marks the third straight season that Purdue and Alabama will meet, with the Boilermakers winning the previous two contests. In Dec. 2023, Purdue edged Alabama 92-86 in Toronto, before winning last year's meeting in Mackey Arena, 87-78.

The Boilermakers lead the all-time series by a 7-3 margin, and the Boilermakers will visit Tuscaloosa for the first time since a 73-65 win during the 2009-10 season.

The game is the first announced date for the 2025-26 schedule for the Purdue men's basketball team.

Both teams are expected to be among the top teams in the country for the 2025-26 season. The Boilermakers return four starters including All-America candidates Braden Smith and Trey Kaufman-Renn while welcoming back other starters C.J. Cox and Fletcher Loyer. In addition, Purdue welcomes back sophomores Gicarri Harris, Daniel Jacobsen and Raleigh Burgess, as well as key additions Oscar Cluff, Antione West Jr., and redshirt-freshman Jack Benter.

Purdue posted a 24-12 overall record a year ago, reaching the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

Alabama, meanwhile, finished the 2024-25 season with a 28-9 record, reaching the Elite Eight, one year after advancing to the Final Four. Head coach Nate Oats lost four standouts and three more players to the transfer portal and NBA Draft, but has already started reloading via the transfer portal.
