CARLSBAD, Calif. – Purdue Women's Golf saw its 2023-24 season come to an end Sunday, finishing the first 54 holes of the NCAA Championships in 29th place (+52) as the field was cut down to 15 teams following the first three rounds.

For the third straight day, Momo Sugiyama led the Boilermakers. The Australian fired a 75 (+3), finishing strong by playing the final five holes 2-under. Sugiyama made birdies on a pair of par 4s coming in, Nos. 14 and 17, and did not make a bogey down that stretch to finish the tournament at 7-over and in a tie for 57th.

Jasmine Kahler and Natasha Kiel added 77s (+5) for Purdue. Kahler began her round 1-under through the first seven holes, finding a birdie at the par-4 fourth. The freshman ended the tournament with a birdie on No. 18. Kiel recorded two birdies of her own throughout the day, making one at the second before draining a long putt on the difficult par-4 15th.

Playing her 118th and final round as a Boilermaker, Ashley Kozlowski carded an 80 (+8). On a tough course in difficult conditions, the score did not indicate the impact the senior had on the program over the past four years. She appeared in 41 tournaments, recording 14 Top 20 finishes and nine Top 10 performances. Kozlowski closed her career by tying a Purdue single-season record with six rounds in the 60s.

The Boilermakers finished the second season under head coach Zack Byrd, producing two wins and four Top 3 finishes throughout the 2023-24 campaign. Capturing the Boilermaker Classic and the Mary Fossum Invitational, Purdue won multiple tournaments in a season for the first time in seven years. The Boilermakers also recorded two of the lowest five team totals (54 holes) in school history, a program-best 837 at the Schooner Fall Classic and an 852 (fifth) at the season-opening Boilermaker Classic.

Purdue placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships with an even-par 864, the Boilermakers' best score in the league tournament since 2016. The Boilermakers secured their ninth straight NCAA Regional appearance and finished second at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional to advance to the NCAA Championships for the 19th time in program history. The Boilermakers' runner-up performance was their best in an NCAA Regional since also finishing second in 2013. Purdue fired an 8-under 280 during the second round, setting a new program best for the lowest round in an NCAA Regional and matching the 2010 Boilermakers at the NCAA Championships for Purdue's best round in any NCAA tournament.

Continuing with the successful tradition of Purdue Women's Golf, at least two Boilermakers landed on the All-Big Ten list for the 16th time over the past 22 years. Kozlowski and Sugiyama earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors.
