MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – After coming from behind to win a critical Set 2 in extra points, the No. 16 Purdue Boilermakers rolled past Michigan State, 3-1 (23-25, 30-28, 25-23, 25-18). The victory sealed Purdue's 17th win of the season as the team improves to a 17-8 (11-5 Big Ten) record and Michigan State falls to 16-11 (8-8 Big Ten).
The match saw a season-high-tying 16 total blocks by the Boilermakers, including a career-high nine by Lourdes Myers and a career-high seven by Taylor Anderson.
It was a game of runs early on, with teams trading large runs to shift momentum – including an 8-0 run by Michigan State that was enough to eventually take Set 1. Meanwhile, the Boilermakers responded in Set 2 with a 9-1 run of their own to snag a 23-21 lead.
