COLLEGE PARK, Md. – In the Big Ten season-opener, No. 19 Purdue volleyball earned its 1,000th program win with its 3-1 victory at Maryland (25-20, 25-23, 17-25, 25-11).
With the result, Purdue improves to a 7-3 (1-0 Big Ten) record while Maryland falls to 10-3 (0-1 Big Ten) on the year.
Up next, Purdue will close out their east coast trip with a Sunday matinee at Rutgers. The Boilermakers will play at 1 p.m. ET on B1G+. It will be their first time competing at Jersey Mike's Arena.

- In the program's 49th season, Purdue reached 1,000 program wins.
- Eva Hudson led the team with 20 kills (one shy of her season-high), adding seven digs and four block assists. Seven of the sophomore's kills came in the first set (with a .429 attack %).
- Maddie Schermerhorn posted half of her digs (14) in the first set alone.
- After setting a Big Ten rally-scoring era record of 16 blocks at the Xfinity Center Pavilion last year, Colvin came out with a quick four block assists in the first set before closing the night with a season-high 10 total blocks (1 solo, 9 assisted). The junior added four service aces (one shy of her career-best) and seven kills (.385 attack %).
- After leading Set 2, 21-17, Maryland went on a four-point run to tie the match 21-21. Colvin secured the set's victory with a block solo to break the 22-22 stalemate before going on to record the set-winning kill.
- The Boilermakers got out to an 8-0 start with Taylor Anderson behind the service line. During the opening run, Anderson recorded an ace and back-to-back blocks with Raven Colvin on each.
- The Boilermakers out-blocked the Terps, 13-8.5.
- Purdue hit .611% in the fourth set, the most efficient set of the year.
- Six Boilermakers saw action in their first-ever Big Ten match.
