PISCATAWAY, N.J. Madeline Greaves was a runaway winner in her premier event and the Boilermakers enjoyed a 1-2 finish in 1-meter diving, highlighting Saturday's action for Purdue women's swimming & diving in its two-day dual meet at Rutgers.

The Boilermakers swept the 400 relays Saturday to open and close the session but Rutgers closed out a 191-162 victory in the team scoring.

Daryn Wright and Sophie McAfee teamed up for the 1-2 finish on 1-meter, combining with Jenna Sonnenberg to give Purdue three of the top four finishers in the event. Wright posted her third event victory of the season and has now finished top 2 in five straight events dating back to the 1-meter action in the Boilermakers' Oct. 21 home opener.

Greaves won the 400 individual medley by 7.67 seconds, registering the second event victory of her sophomore season. She teamed with classmate Maggie Love for a Purdue sweep of the IM events at the meet.

Kendra Bowen anchored the Boilermakers' 400 freestyle relay team to victory with a closing split of 51.36, out touching Rutgers' anchor, Julia Bartoszewicz (51.49), by 0.27 hundredths of a second. Bowen teamed with Hannah Hill, Lindsay Turner and Love. For the second day in a row, Love had the best split (51.19) among the full field in a freestyle relay win for Purdue.

Love, Turner and Hill were also part of the victorious 400 medley relay along with Abby Marcukaitis. Hill's anchor split of 50.04 was the fastest 100 free mark among the full field. Individually, Hill was out touched by 0.05 hundredths of a second in the 50 free, settling for a runner-up showing.

Kate Beavon accounted for Purdue's second-fastest time (1:53.46) of the season in the 200 free. She was also the Boilermakers' top finisher in 1,000.

After competing on consecutive days over each of the first three weekends of the season, the Boilermakers now have a two-week break from meets as they gear up for the three-day, six-session Purdue Invitational. The midseason showcase is set for Nov. 16 to 18.
