<br /><br />NAPLES, Fla. – The No. 23 Purdue men's golf team posted the day's second-lowest round and moved up two spots to finish fifth at the prestigious Calusa Cup held at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples, Florida.

NAPLES, Fla. – The No. 23 Purdue men's golf team posted the day's second-lowest round and moved up two spots to finish fifth at the prestigious Calusa Cup held at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
 
The Boilermakers finished the 54-hole event at the difficult Calusa Pines Golf Club with a total of 18-over par 882 (290-302-290). Purdue finished 26 shots behind champion and No. 11 Georgia Tech. No. 16 Florida was second at even-par 864 and No. 17 Wake Forest finished third at 4-over par 868.
 
The Boilermakers missed out on fourth place by just one shot to No. 1 Oklahoma (17-over par) and were six shots better than both No. 8 Georgia and No. 22 Clemson at 24-over par 888. Marquette and Iowa rounded out the field at 33-over par 897.
 
Purdue entered the final round in seventh place, leading only Iowa by one shot and Marquette by 10 shots.
 
With the head-to-head wins over Georgia and Clemson, Purdue now has head-to-head wins over national powers Arizona, Baylor, California, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, South Carolina and USC.
 
Leading Purdue all weekend was Cole Bradley, who recorded his third top-10 finish of the season with a T-9th showing at 1-over par 217 (70-73-74). It marked his eighth career top-10 placing and he now has 57 career rounds of even- or under-par, just eight off the school record set by Austin Eoff.
 
Andrew Farraye recorded his second top-20 placing of the season, finishing T-19th at 6-over par 222 (74-79-69). Farraye finished his final round birdie-birdie-par-birdie to move into the top 20 and help Purdue jump two spots in the team standings.
 
Sophomore Luke Prall also had some big moments, placing 29th at 10-over par 226 (77-74-75). Prall avoided the big number all week, suffering just one double-bogey during his 54 holes.
 
Herman Sekne (73-76-78) and Joe Weiler (73-82-72) finished tied for 30th at 11-over par 227.
 
The Boilermakers will host the Boilermaker Invitational this weekend at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course, beginning Saturday at approximately 8:30 a.m. ET. Fourteen teams in the field will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Admission is free.
